Clayton M. Graham Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Contracting and Construction

In recognition of his service to the United States, Mr. Graham has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and the Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon

    Wheaton, IL, December 6, 2011 /Engineering PR News/ -- Clayton M. Graham, President of Opcon, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in contracting and construction.
Mr. Graham served in the U.S. Navy for more than 18 years, and is currently in the SEABEES in the U.S. Navy Reserve.

A former project engineer for Abbott Labs and senior project manager for FH Paschen, he was injured in 2003 in Iraq. Six years after his injury, he decided to open a general contracting company that primarily works on federal projects. As the president of Opcon, Inc., Mr. Graham oversees operations and business development, and works on numerous federal contracts with the Federal Aviation Administration, the U.S. Army, General Service Administration and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.


Over his 27-year career Mr. Graham has offered his expertise in civil work, interior & hospital renovations,and green and smart building. He is a LEED Accredited Professional who earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration in 1987 from Northern Illinois. He is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, the Society of American Military Engineers, the Hispanic American Construction Industry Association, the American Subcontractors Association, Inc., Associated Builders and Contractors and the Painting and Decorating Contractors Association. For his time spent serving our country, he has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2), Navy Presidential Unit Citation, Navy "Efficiency" Ribbon (6) and Perry Award (3), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Hour Glass and Mobilized.

In the coming years, Mr. Graham intends to continue growing his small business, graduate from the small business program to become a large general contractor, assist returning veterans find work and acclimate to civilian life and continue being a good father to his three children.
