Cambridge Who's Who Names John Chung-Han Yen Professional of the Year in Computer System Engineering
Mr. Yen Celebrates 11th Anniversary with the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District
OAKLAND, CA, July 06, 2010 /Engineering PR News/ -- John Chung-Han Yen, Principal Computer Systems Engineer for the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Computer System Engineering. While inclusion in Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named the Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, and leadership abilities.
Specialized in project management, process optimization, back-office systems management and web-based applications, John Chung-Han Yen is recognized for professional leadership as a Principal Computer Systems Engineer for the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District. Backed by nearly two decades' professional excellence, he is responsible for overseeing all services pertaining to automated fare collection information technology, managing the back-office design, engineering and integrated systems, coordinating programs and overseeing other staff members. This year, Mr. Yen celebrated his 11th anniversary with the District, and is excited to continue meeting the challenges of his day-to-day work.
Crediting his success to his determination to maintain high standards of excellence, and to the hard work that enables him to meet such standards, Mr. Yen recalls the highlight of his career as having developed the back-office system for registration, account management and bank interface for the EZ Rider Smart Card for the District. Moving forward, he will seek to continue his involvement in technology development projects. Mr. Yen holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California at Berkeley and a master's degree in computer information systems from the University of Phoenix.
