Lt. Harold N. Piper specializes in naval engineering for the U.S. Coast Guard
NEW ORLEANS, LA, April 12, 2010 /Engineering PR News/ --Lt. Harold N. Piper, Coast Guard Officer of the U.S. Coast Guard, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military engineering.
Prompted by a lifelong desire to be of service to his country, Lt. Harold N. Piper joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 2005. Noted for his skills in naval engineering, he is tasked with maintaining and inspecting Coast Guard vessels, managing projects, overseeing property administration, and supervising a two-member unit. Lt. Piper is also responsible for coordinating community service for the Coast Guard and the U.S. Navy in the New Orleans area. The recipient of several meritorious service awards from the U.S. Coast Guard, he attributes his success to hard work and the support that he receives from his parents.
Lt. Piper earned his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering in 2005 from the United States Coast Guard Academy. He is affiliated with the Society of American Military Engineers and volunteers regularly with Coast Guard Mutual Assistance and Combined Federal Campaign. In five years, he plans to enroll in graduate school and continue serving his country in the same capacity.
