TORONTO, CANADA, April 28, 2010 /Engineering PR News/ -- Commander David J. Benoit, Naval Engineering Officer with the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication and excellence in leadership and organizational management.
At the age of 38, Commander David J. Benoit successfully oversees the engineering management of the Canadian submarine fleet at National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. A member of the 59th Legion Highlander Royal Canadian Army Cadets as a teenager, he chose the profession of arms as a Naval Officer for the adventure and technologically advanced Fleet being delivered at the time of his enrollment. He is a Combat Systems Engineer who has earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada in 1994; a diploma in Management in 2007 and an MBA in 2008 from Athabasca University.
Commander Benoit's future plans include continued employment in leadership positions of greater authority and responsibility of both a technical and non-technical nature. He looks forward to receiving his Professional Engineering Licence and is considering pursuing a Doctorate. An Officer on the National Executive of the Royal Military Colleges Club of Canada; a member of the Order of St. John, Knights Hospitaller and of the Knights of Columbus, he credits much of his success to the support he receives from his family and mentors.
