Gene A. Genovese enjoys creating and optimizing software quality assurance practices
Lake Mary, FL, March 1, 2010 /Engineering PR News/ -- Gene A. Genovese, Corporate Director of Quality Assurance for SunGard Public Sector, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in software quality control, test engineering and quality assurance.
Prior to joining SunGard in 2009, Gene A. Genovese worked for Deltek, Inc. as Vice President of Quality Control; for S1 Corporation as Vice President of Quality Assurance and Software Processes & Chief Quality Officer; for Ceridian Corporation as Senior Director of Systems and Software Quality Assurance; for CheckFree Corporation (now Fiserv, Inc.) as Division Level Director of Software Quality Assurance; for Unisys as a Quality Assurance Practice Director; for Reed Technology and Information Services (part of Lexis Nexis) as Director of Project Management & Senior Program Manager; and, for Lockheed Martin Corporation as Systems Engineering Manager and Test & Verification Chief Engineer. Currently, he provides tactical and strategic direction to SunGard Public Sector's Local Government for ensuring product quality through software testing and compliance, and on software quality processes across market areas.
Mr. Genovese, a United States Air Force officer and veteran, is presently an active reservist with the United States Air Force Reserves Command serving as the Deputy Chief of Intelligence for the 22nd Air Force, 94th Airlift Wing. He has served with distinction in the United States Air Force Space Command/NORAD, Air Intelligence Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency, Air Education and Training Command, Pacific Air Forces and the Pentagon. He has served with honor under six different Commanders-in-Chief during two wars. Mr. Genovese is also a recognized expert in Intelligence within the defense intelligence community. Additionally, he has several academic and military publications to his credit in the areas of international relations, military history and space weapons technology. Further, he has prepared and delivered presentations on software quality control and quality assurance methodologies at several forums of the American Society for Quality. He serves as a Senior Consultant for the Evalueserve Circle of Experts at Nitron, Inc. in the areas of software quality control and quality assurance.
Mr. Genovese served as a Doctoral Fellow in International Relations and Economics at The Claremont Graduate University, and received a Master's Degree in International Relations and a Bachelor's Degree in History. He is also a certified Instructor and Evaluator in Intelligence and Space Operations through the United States Air Force. He received his leader certification through the United States Air Force's Armed Forces Intelligence School, Officer Training School and Squadron Officer School. Additionally, Mr Genovese completed training in technical leadership development with Lockheed Martin Corporation and received numerous certifications in corporate leadership development. He is a member of the American Society for Quality, the United States Air Force Reserve and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers; and, a former Vice President of the Scholastic Recognition Program within the Alpharetta, GA public school system.
