Dave A. Wareheim Named to Exclusive Membership Organization

Dave A. Wareheim interfaces with all levels of peers to enhance the development of the architecture, engineering and design of scientific technologies

AUDUBON, PA, December 7, 2010 /Engineering PR News/ -- Dave A. Wareheim, Subject Matter Expert at IPS, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in his career.

Mr. Wareheim has experienced 24 years of pharmaceutical low molecular weight and biologics research and development, reaching the level of Research Fellow. Another 11 years was experienced in architectural and engineering firms, assisting pharmaceutical operations with design, implementation, and process analysis, reaching the level of SME (Subject Matter Expert).

As an SME, he is responsible for creating the architectural, engineering, and the design of facilities and equipment. The results of process analysis are expressed through peer collaborations and spawn innovative and value-based technology, and the enhancement (adaptation of) certain existing systems for more efficient and economical cost of goods. Recently this has led to being named co-inventor (patent pending) for purification of biologics (including vaccines), and is transferrable to synthetic processes. He is a recognized single use technologist, by pioneering some of the first implementations, and has presented and published on these efforts.

Another key development is the scale-up of recombinant proteins at high cell densities, adapting an automation and control system to meet this need. This work has led to the use of PAT in many current research and commercial systems. Some of this technology development has been used to support Cell Therapy development, autologous and allogeneic.

All of this experience has been enveloped by GxP, to include GLP, GLSP, GMP, GTP, and direct experience through BSL3-LS, and implementation of risk based approaches through ICH guidelines.

Finally, Mr. Wareheim has recently presented in Mumbai and Hyderabad, India, and has direct experience in the design of a biologics facility in Beijing, China and in Malaysia. He is expressing his collective skills to bridge the BRIC emerging markets with others.
