Mr. Thomas is a large motors and heavy machines engineer with over 30 years of experience in the Mining, Pulp and Paper, Cement, Petrol Chemical, Marine and Metals Industries. His extensive knowledge and expertise in the installation and operation of synchronous motors and drive systems make him of the few professionals left in the world of his caliber. Companies from Canada to Mexico, Australia to Mongolia, and Russia to Chile have called on his expertise to provide on-site consulting services and supervision.
LM & G Consulting Services specializes in application of low speed synchronous motors for driving grinding mills at fixed speed to achieve high efficiency and power factor improvement. They also work with variable speed applications for grinding mills using low speed synchronous motors, both geared and gearless.
During his educational career, Peter earned an Electrical Engineering degree from the Institute of Electrical Technologies and the University of London. Mr. Thomas is a Registered Professional Engineer (Ontario); Chartered Engineer & Member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (United Kingdom).
