Marjorie 'Mardi' Wilcox Honored by Cambridge Who's Who

Hand-selected to be the first maintenance officer in the Air Force to be assigned to a UAV Squadron, Marjorie "Mardi" Wilcox

    SAINT LOUIS, MO, April 18, 2009 /Engineering PR News/ -- Marjorie 'Mardi' Wilcox, Logistics Support Technical Specialist for Boeing, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in logistics support engineering.

Ms. Wilcox has a very impressive background with 20 years of Air Force experience in fighter, special mission, reconnaissance and cargo aircraft weapons systems. Additionally, she has more than 10 years of experience in Air Force development systems for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), where she identified the logistics requirements for designing, developing, testing, demonstrating, producing, and fielding UAVs including Dark Star, Predator and its derivatives. Ms. Wilcox was hand-selected to be the first maintenance officer in the Air Force to be assigned to a UAV Squadron and oversee a unit bed-down for the Predator UAV. She also presided over the Joint Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle System (JUCAS) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Class I for Future Combat Systems (FCS). As logistics support technical specialist for The Boeing Company, she is responsible for providing logistics support and team leadership for engineering teams. She is also assigned to the Future Combat Systems UAV IPT, providing logistics support for system design and the development of Class I and Class IV UAVs.

Ms. Wilcox received her master of science in education from Troy State University in 1992 and her bachelor of arts degree in physical geography from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1974. She completed coursework in the United States Air Force Officer Training School in aircraft maintenance management, munitions maintenance and aircraft mishap investigation. She also attended Squadron Officer School and Air Command and Staff College, a correspondence program.
