ROCHESTER, NY, March 12, 2009 /Engineering PR News/ -- Dr. J. Fernando Naveda, Chairman of the Department of Software Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of higher education.
With 22 years of experience in academia, Dr. Naveda specializes in software engineering, software design and software process. On a regular basis, he is responsible for managing the department, recruiting and outreach students and faculty activities, representing the department in university-wide and outside events, identifying partnership opportunities between industry, faculty and students, and participating in day to day activities of the College's management team. He always wanted to be a teacher and attributes his success to being goal-driven, organized and a good leader.
Dr. Naveda received his Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 1986 and is a member of the IEEE Computer Society, where he is an active volunteer.
